The togetherness of families matters most when a child is sick or injured. Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern North Carolina brings families together when they need it most. You can give the gift of togetherness by making a donation to RMHC of Eastern NC.

Our Houses are just like your house except we can have a total of up to 31 families staying with us! The items on our Wish List are what keeps our kitchens stocked, facilities cleaned and our Houses operating at full potential. Having a well-stocked home full of amenities truly makes our House a “home-away-from-home” for our families.
You can host a Wish List Drive at your school, church or among family and friends and collect items that our families use daily. Encourage peers to bring Wish List items to upcoming birthdays, celebrations, meetings, or host a Wish List Drive to collect as many items as possible. You can purchase items directly off our Amazon Wish List, the RMH Target Registry as well as see our current Wish List Flyer.
You can drop off your donation anytime between 8am-8pm every day of the week at either of our locations! When you drop off your items, join us for a tour of the RMHC to learn how your donations are put to work for the kids and families who stay with us. Whether it’s a truckload or just a small bag, these items are what keep our House going strong!
Did you know RMHC of Eastern NC collects pop tabs?
The pop tab by itself does not mean much, however, when collected, pop tabs add up to become a valuable donation to RMHC-ENC. This idea of ‘pulling’ together for a charitable cause is the core value of this program. Aluminum pop tabs can be donated directly to RMHC-ENC or as a donation of the reimbursement of the recycling center.
How does it work?
We collect aluminum pop tabs from any container (soda can, soup, pet food, etc.) and work with a local recycler to turn those tabs into money to provide for our families!
Why do you only collect the tab?
Tabs are easier to store than whole cans in our limited space. Also, tabs are more sanitary than the entire can, which is important in keeping our facility clean and healthy for our guests.
How much do you receive for the tabs?
After the tabs are collected, staff loads up large amounts to take to our local recycler, where they are weighed to determine their value (values can vary significantly). The recycling center then gives us a check for the total value.
How do I collect the tabs?
You can download a Pop Tab label to paste on your container here. Use boxes, coffee cans or large plastic jars with wide openings to store pop tabs in.
How do I promote the program at my school, company, or organization?

Where do I bring my tabs once I’ve collected them?
We always recommend bringing them directly to the Ronald McDonald House. Donations are accepted daily between the hours of 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM. We would love to give you a tour of our House and take some pictures of your donation to post on our social media pages, too!
In May 2017, we broke ground on a special expansion project. This 10,000 square foot addition added 4 new bedrooms, relocated 3 bedrooms and added an updated kitchen, playroom, laundry room and dining area. The existing 15,000 square foot space received an updated laundry room, family room space, office areas and added a multipurpose/meeting space. These additions will increase the number of families we serve and help us be able to serve them better.
We invite you to become a permanent part of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern North Carolina and support this new expansion by purchasing a brick for our memorial walkway. Your donation will help keep our families near their children when they need each other most and help us continue to provide what we do for these families.
