Business Manager

Summary: The Business Manager is responsible for running our Medicaid program, office administration, Grant writing and support administrative duties and event logistics for our Development Department. This includes but is not limited to, data entry, writing thorough, accurate and descriptive grants, assist families in filling out their Medicaid information and billing Medicaid, assist in preparing a weekly deposit, writing and putting together donation acknowledgements, Exceed (Areeva) data entry and writing acknowledgments for Tangible donations. The Business Manager will work directly with the Finance Coordinator, Director of Development, Executive Director, Director of Marketing and Volunteer Services and other staff members to assure that adequate program administrative duties, accounting and business practices are in place, well documented and executed in an accurate and timely manner.

Roles & Responsibilites:

Development:

  • Assist with donor prospect identification and conduct prospect research as requested.
  • Coordinate lists for direct mail and special event campaigns.
  • Assist DMA in donor recognition activities including: donor stewardship calendar, timely and on-going personal/written contact with donors/potential donors.
  • Assist with grant writing, research and follow up reporting.
  • Assist with Ronald McDonald House special events and activities as needed. (Will require work after regular hours.)
  • Writing and maintaining our acknowledgement process this includes acknowledgments for our tangible donation.
  • Assist DMA in online donor platforms such as; Community Foundation grants, online giving platforms
  • Manage Multipurpose room calendar
  • Assist the DOD with RMHENC stewardship program

Financial Operations:

  • Support the FC in preparing all deposits and input all receipts of cash. Work with the FC to assure that the funds are coded and recorded correctly.
  • Support FC in uploading reports required by RMHC Global including annual audit, outcomes report, and 990.
  • Deposits all donations and other revenue daily.
  • Maintain the online billing reports to help support the FC.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Exceed (Arreva) database system.
  • Pursue opportunities for professional development as needed.
  • Maintain positive relationship with staff, vendors, Vidant Medical Center, other Ronald McDonald Houses, volunteers, McDonald’s and other persons associated with Ronald McDonald House, treating fellow staff members with respect and sensitivity
  • Execute other responsibilities as requested by the Executive Director and/or Development Director.
  • Run and maintain our Medicaid program. This includes all correspondence with our Medical Providers and DSS representatives in each county we support families from.

Office administrative support:

  • Reconciles incoming donations with Mail Log.
  • Maintains corporate records.
  • Maintain board member and volunteer address and affiliation records, edit and update information, prepare reports, and perform related tasks as needed.
  • Organize and maintain filing systems for Board, administration, donors and related activities.
  • Takes and transcribes Board meeting minutes and committee minutes as required.
  • Orders and arranges pick up/delivery of all meeting meals/snacks within established budget.
  • Maintains office supply inventory and budget including ordering materials, distribution and storage.
  • Prepare and maintain reports, forms, spreadsheets, manuals and other materials as directed.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
